Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes live text of Sunday's games on multiple platforms, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage is available through designated networks for a separate game (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week in the NFL season , following recent discussion regarding two top teams being possible championship contenders, each lost their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests were the number of infractions each conceded. Philadelphia committed them in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 going into the fourth period versus Denver, who play in London this weekend.

But it proved positive to observe how Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome that deficit and then direct three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, securing the game 21-17.

The Broncos boast the top defender with CB their star corner. They are number one in goal-line defense, while Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos prevailed in that contest.

They had the Eagles' number regarding disguised blitzes. They did not always sending more than four defenders instead they might plug two LBs in the interior then drop them out and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

Early on of the season, it was noted on a program how the Broncos might emerge as this season's surprise contenders. They finished the previous year strongly and did a good job of building upon that.

Could Denver be this year's dark horses?

New TE Evan Engram has stepped up significantly and recent RB their rusher is a guy they believe in. He now ranks 5th in the NFL in ground gains (over 400) as well as tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

It's impressive that the coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" at the top on his call sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos are a squad aiming to run first, because you can achieve much off the back of that. It slows opposing rushes and maintains in positive down and distances.

It's also benefited QB the young passer, who entered into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass anywhere, but they don't move the mobility as Nix. He has incredible passing ability, a unique trait, plus he's so athletic.

His assets are his mobility, the capacity to throw on the run, as well as using different arm angles to deliver the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver that layered pass over the middle and past defenders.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he's got great composure in the pocket and isn't really fazed by extra rushers. He aims to avoid being tackled as much as possible and can pass in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and remains quick to decide.

If you constantly run the ball it eats up time and makes the defence to stay on the field extended periods, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence has to cover the area downfield side to side. It can be exhausting.

Nix has pushed back at Payton during games sometimes and it seems Payton appreciates that attitude, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for the coach to coach a rookie QB who's kind of like moldable clay. The coach can really develop him the way he wants to build it. I believe it's a special experience for the coach.

Payton has won a championship and has passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen everything. I think the success Denver are experiencing offensively is mostly due to his leadership, his schemes, his game sense – and the pairing with the QB helps make him into who he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to assist you through some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.

I believe in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But is the team strong enough to go against an elite team at full strength? Since that was not championship-level play from Philadelphia in their last game.

Right now, I don't think the Broncos are elite. They're working above average, which is a solid position to hold the AFC West. All they need to do to continue this trajectory.

They're really good at leaning into their strength, which is the ground game, and this is exactly what they must do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.

The Jets have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad without a win a game.

Since the league began tracking takeaways in 1933, this team are also the inaugural squad to be without a single takeaway through five games, this is surprising when you think that their new coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach with another team.

The Chiefs' QB says Kansas City are off to a poor start following Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

Following the upcoming matchup, Denver have a manageable slate until their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders before the Chiefs.

Looking at their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are tied with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could make a run at leading the division.

This hinges on what version Kansas City shows up they meet because Denver {beat|def
